Hermes Mansu on maailmankuulu taiteilija, joka on onnistunut pitämään oikean henkilöllisyytensä salassa. Kukaan ei ole häntä tavannut, mutta hänen nerokkaat teoksensa tunnistetaan aina. Herra Mansun tuoreimman teoksen esittelyyn ovat saaneet kutsun vain todelliset merkkihenkilöt, sillä tämä ilta on suomalaisessa kulttuurielämässä ainutlaatuinen ja merkityksellinen. Ilta on tarkoin suunniteltu pienintäkin yksityiskohtaa myöten: arvostetut erikoisvieraat, kokenut juontaja ja huolellisesti valmistetut annokset kaikille vieraille. Mutta teoksen esittely ei sujukaan suunnitelmien mukaan ja taiteen sijaan nousevat sinä iltana valokiilaan aivan erilaiset sankarit.
"Murhaava illallinen" on ainutlaatuinen elämysilta, jossa gourmetruoka ja jännitysnäytelmä kohtaavat. Vieraat nauttivat kahden tunnin aikana kolmen ruokalajin illallista ja joutuvat samalla rikoksen silminnäkijöiksi.
Illallisen järjestäjä Sky Catering OÜ lupaa, että ilta on tulvillaan herkullisia makuja ja odottamattomia tapahtumia, sillä vieraiden joukossa on ihmisiä, joiden suunnitelmia ei ole voitu etukäteen arvata.
Miten ilta onnistuu käytännössä?
Paikka
Paikka on ulkoteltta Suvilahdessa. Lämmitys on hyvä eikä kylmä pääse tulemaan. Kuitenkin teltan raoista tulee välillä telttaan kylmää ilmaa ja se häiritsee ruokailu- ja teatterielämystä. Väliajan käymälät on toteutettu bajamaja-ratkaisulla. Ei oikein sovi gurmee-illallisen kanssa samaan lauseeseen.
Toive järjestäjille: Ensi kerralla marras-joulukuiseen Suomeen kannattanee varata joku sisäpaikka. Ei tämäkään mahdoton ole, mutta laatua voisi nostaa ylöspäin.
1) Gurmee ruoka?
Keittiömestarit Matti Jämsen ja Jouni Toivanen osaavat tehdä hyvää ruokaa.
En tiedä onko keittiö liian pieni illastajamäärään huomioiden vai mikä meni pieleen, mutta kunnianhimoinen pyrkimys gourmee ruokaan näissä olosuhteissa ei mennyt aivan nappiin. Ruoka oli periaatteessa ihan ookoo, mutta jotain keittiön ja tarjoilun välillä oli ongelmaa, koska kokemus oli aivan jotain muuta kuin mitä odotin. Ei olisi pitänyt selkeästikään odottaa liikoja.
Ensi vuonna ehkä sitten parempi tila, jossa myös parempi keittiökapasiteetti.
Teatteri
Illallisen lomassa esitetty teatteri-esitys oli ihan hauska. Ei se varsinaisesti ollut jännittävä. Ehkä tasoltaan vastasi keskinkertaista tai huonoa kesäteatteria. Olen nähnyt Suomessa parempiakin teatteriesityksiä. Myös interaktiivisuus yleisön kanssa olisi voinut olla aktiivisempaa. Yleisöä aktivoitiin kovin vähän ja jos aktivoitiin, niin aikataulukiireestä ilmeisesti johtuen yleisöä ei kuitenkaan spontaanisti otettu mukaan.
Ensimmäisen vuoden juttuna annettakoon silti anteeksi. Juoni oli ihan hauska ja viihdyttävä ja sisälsi yllätyksiä, vaikka yllätyksistä useimmat olivatkin aika arvattavia.
Innovatiivisuus ja uniikkius
Olen positiivisesti iloissani siitä, että tällaista järjestetään, ideoidaan ja toteutetaan. Illallinen voisi olla ehkä kalliimpi ja paremmassa paikassa tai sitten odotuksia voisi ladata vähän alemmas. Idea on kuitenkin loistava ja toivon, että tällaisia järjestetään jatkossakin. En ehkä menisi itse uudestaan samaan enkä suosittelisi muille, jollei konseptia kehitetä eteenpäin. Ensimmäinen kerta on kuitenkin aina ensimmäinen kerta ja siksi lupaan tulla ensi vuonna uudestaan jos konseptia kehitetään joko niin, että gourmee ruoka on oikeasti gourmee ruokaa tai sitten rehellistä perusruokaa ja teatteri on vähintäänkin tasoa hyvä kesäteatteri.
