Ensivaikutelma ISTJ-ihmisestä saattaa olla kylmä,
koska ei ymmärrä, miksi hänen pitäisi miellyttää
tuntemattomia ihmisiä. Hänen mielestään ystävyys
on ansaittava. ISTJ on luonteeltaan tarkka,
täsmällinen ja luotettava. Hän on oikeudenmukainen
ja omaa tajun oikeasta ja väärästä, joka pohjautuu
teoriaan, joka on aiemmin hyväksi havaittu.
Usein ISTJ työskentelee taka-alalla, sihteerinä,
virkailijana tai luottamushenkilönä, yleensä
establishoituneessa instituutiossa, jossa hän
saa toteuttaa tästämällistä ja järjestelmällistä
tapaansa työskennellä. Hän on uurastaja, joka
saattaa työnsä loppuun, uhrauksista huolimatta.
ISTJ ei voi sietää epäjohdonmukaisia tai lupauksia
rikkovia ihmisiä. Introvertistä laadusta johtuen
hän ei kuitenkaan ilmaise suuttumustaan suoraan,
vaan korkeintaan ilmein ja elein. Muita ISTJ:lle
sopivia aloja ovat mm. armeija, koulu ja kirkko.
