YKSIN

Yksin, sumussa kuljen!
Yksin on jokainen pensas ja puu,
toinen ei tunne toista,
sumuun sulkeutuu.

Tuttavat tulvivat elämääni
entiseen, valon täyttämään;
nyt, kun sumussa kuljen,
en näe yhtäkään.

Totisesti, viisaaksi vasta
pimeys ihmisen kasvattaa,
se hänet hiljaa, vastustamatta
kaikista erottaa.

Yksin, sumussa kuljen!
Yksinäisyyttä elämä on.
Yksin on jokainen meistä,
