Kävimme tänään Vatikaanissa. Menimme paikalle varsin myöhään, noin puoli kolmen aikaan.
Pietarin kirkkoon jonotimme vähän yli puoli tuntia. Mielestäni älyttömän pitkä aika. Olen kuullut että jotkut ovat jonottaneet jopa 2.5tuntia!! Kirkkoon jonotettuamme kuulimme että Sikstiiniläiskappeli eli Sikstuksen kappeli on Museon pääsylipun takana eli sinne ei pääse ollenkaan kirkon kautta vaan pitää kiertää takaisin Italiaan ja tulla museon puolelta takaisin.
Onni onnettomuudessa...
Kannattaa mennä Museolle vasta melkein sulkemisaikaan.
Lähdimme Pietarin kirkolta vasta 20 vaille neljä. Museon portit menevät kiinni klo 16. Kävely kirkolta Museolla kesti 10 minuuttia ja onneksemme 10 vaille 4 ei enää ollut yhtään jonoa. Aikaisemmin päivällä jonoa oli ollut 100 metriä. Kun pääsee sisään, saa olla sisällä kuuteen asti. Riitti meille varsin hyvin.
Itse Sikstuksen kappeli oli kaukana rauhallisesta kappelista: vartijat huusivat olkaa hiljaa ja huusivat ettei siihen saa pysähtyä vaan menkää tuonne sivuun. Maalaukset olivat perus kirkkotaidetta ja mielestäni aivan yliarvostettua taidetta vaikka ne joidenkin mielestä ovat kuuluisia niin siltikään en ymmärrä sellaista taidetta.
Jos et ole kirkkotaiteen fani niin maailmassa on muitakin kirkkoja joissa voi käydä. Vatikaani on aivan yliarvostettu paikka eikä kannata käydä jollei nauti ihmisruuhkasta ja hälinästä tungoksen keskellä.
